(B.A., Major in Philosophy and Minor in Greek, Swarthmore College) Joel is interested in intentional and normative phenomena in a broad range of philosophical areas, including Ancient Philosophy, Philosophy of Mind (especially Philosophical Psychology), Epistemology, and Moral Philosophy. His dissertation, entitled Aristotle: From Sense to Science, examines Aristotle’s theory of cognitive development.
