Associate Professor at the Asian Studies Department and the Philosophy Department at Tel Aviv University (Ph.D. Columbia University). He specializes in the history of philosophy with a focus on Buddhist and Brahmanical philosophical traditions, and with a particular interest in the philosophy of language and mind, and the relation between philosophy and literature. He is the author of A Buddhist Yogācāra Theory of Metaphor (Oxford University Press, 2018), winner of the Toshihide Numata Book Award, and co-edited with Maria Heim and Chakravarthi Ram-Prasad The Bloomsbury Research Handbook of Emotions in Classical Indian Philosophy (Bloomsbury Academics, 2021).
