We will discuss “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” by Michael Pollan, and also look at some philosophical literature that touches on the issues he raises in the book. Questions to be discussed include our responsibilities as consumers of food, the moral standing of animals, and the relation between individual and collective (political) agency.
