Eduardo N. Giovannini is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET—Argentina). He received a Ph. D in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires. His main research interests lie in the history and philosophy mathematics and logic, particularly in the 19th and 20th Century. During he stay at Berkeley he will be working on a research project focuses on David Hilbert’s early axiomatic method and his conception of the unity of mathematics. He has been a DAAD Doctoral Fellow at the University of Paderborn (Germany), and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin.
