(B.A., summa cum laude, Mount Holyoke College, 2005.) Lindsay is interested primarily in epistemology and early modern philosophy (particularly Hume). Currently, she is spending a lot of time thinking about epistemic norms, rule-following, the very idea of epistemic relativism, logic and its role in reasoning, subjective rationality, and things you can bootstrap into existence.
She also works as an editorial assistant for Historical Studies in the Natural Sciences, a journal put out by Berkeley’s History of Science department. Prior to grad school, she worked as an editorial assistant for several academic journals; as such, she has oddly strong opinions about hyphenation and comma placement.
Lindsay is a GSI for Phil 3 this semester.
