(Ph.D., Harvard University). While much of her work has been on Kant, her current research focusses on contemporary questions about rule-following and normativity, in particular the normativity of meaning and intentionality. She has also been working on related issues about the nature of concepts. Recent articles have been on the content of perceptual experience, on reasons for belief, on skepticism about rules and meaning, and on the prospects for a naturalistic reduction of meaning and understanding. She continues to work on Kant, in particular on his aesthetics and philosophy of biology.
