Astra Taylor is the director of the philosophy films “Zizek!” and “The Examined Life”

Integrating clips from her own projects as well as other philosophy-driven productions, Taylor will discuss her inspirations and motivations, the power of—and problems with—trying to communicate abstract ideas through a visual medium, and some of the issues raised by presenting philosophy in embodied form.
